Trump Watch 20180702

Today's Episode:  The FART act.

Added the World Trade Organization to the list of Trump issues.  There are other trade issues listed, but WTO is big enough that it seemed to me that it deserved its own mention.

Yes, it's kind of puerile, but a draft of the "United States Fair and Reciprocal Tariff Act" was dug up.  The proposed legislation is important, because it shows that Trump basically wants to get out of the World Trade Organization.
Trump didn't comment on the proposal personally, and the White House said it was just a draft, and not legislation that they are planning to push for.

On a separate front, Michael Cohen, Trump's former lawyer talked up how his first loyalty is to family and to country, toning down his defiant rhetoric against the Mueller investigation since his files were seized.  The files almost certainly impact the Stormy Daniels case, and there is likely to be evidence there regarding potential collusion and obstruction into the Trump investigation.  It's still early, and what information may be in Cohen's files remains a mystery, but it is an ongoing story.

  • Stormy Daniels
  • Trump Charity lawsuit by New York Attorney General
  • FBI investigation (it keeps being called a Russian Collusion investigation, but I'm pretty sure there's more to it than that at this point
  • North Korea
  • The Space Force
  • The Border Wall
  • Alien Children Detention/family separation
  • Presidential Pardons
  • Civil War Monuments
  • Muslim Travel Ban
  • China Tariffs/Trade
  • Canada-G7 Tariffs/Trade
  • NAFTA
  • Puerto Rico response
  • Military Parade in Washington
  • World Trade Organization
